Some things you should know...

Below are some of the club rules and guidlines. We are not bossy, we just like to keep everyone safe.

What is the pace?

There is no set pace, however we do ask that you are capable of cycling for around 50 - 60 minutes at aprrox 13 - 16mph average. This is based on the average group rides and capabilities.

Mandatory Guidance

  • We ask that you arrive at the meeting point for 9am sharp as the group will leave no later than 9:15am
  • No rider is left behind - Whether you have a puncture, fatigue, letting mother nature take course or just had enough. Every rider arrives back home safely
  • Riding in the pack - We use certain speach and hand signals to communicate within the group
    • Tail - Means a vehicle or hazard approaching from the rear of the group
    • Nose - Means a vehicle or hazard approaching from the front of the group
    • Gravel - Means a patch of gravely surface that the group should slow down for
    • Pothole - Well this is self expanitory!
  • Every rider should come prepared with at least the following for each ride and know how to use them
    • At least 1 spare inner tube or bottle of sealant if running tubless
    • At least 2 tyre levers
    • A pump (mechanical or electric)
    • A mobile phone
    • Some method of payment in case of emergencies
    • At least 1 bottle of water for the first few miles (or enough food and drink to fuel your ride if a stop is not advised)
    • Dress appropriately for the weather and remember that over the course of the day the weather may change
  • Leaving the pack early - We ask that you let the pack lead know in advance where possible if you intend to leave the pack early. or at the earliest opportunity. If not we won't know you have decided to leave and will start a return journey to locate you
